Elon Musk opens up hiring for everything app

X owner Elon Musk announced on the platform that he is looking for developers to build the everything app. He asked software engineers to send in their best coding work while applying.

“We don’t care where you went to school or even whether you went to school or what ‘big name’ company you worked at. Just show us your code,” he tweeted.

Musk has long teased the idea of a super app like China’s WeChat, which offers bouquet of services including payments, messaging, e-commerce and multimedia. He aims to turn X into an “everything app,” and is making changes to make that happen. 

CEO Linda Yaccarino has announced that the platform will introduce X Money for payments and X TV for streaming multimedia content. Recently, their AI chatbot Grok has also been integrated on to the platform with the icon showing up more prominently on the interface.
