Nothing on Tuesday (July 8, 2025) announced to move CMF’s Global Marketing function to India. Akis Evangelidis, the co-founder and India President of Nothing shared this information stating this transition will help them move faster, stay closer, and build stronger foundations in CMF’s most important market and will help define next phase of growth.
CMF is Nothing’s sub-brand catering to budget and mid segment buyers in India with smartphones like CMF Phone 1, Phone 2 Pro, Buds and neckbands. The London-based company wants to “build CMF into a global brand from India.”
“We’re excited to build in India - for the world,” tweeted Carl Pei, Nothing’s CEO.
Akis also mentioned that India is playing an increasingly pivotal role in the future of consumer tech; especially smartphones. He added that initiatives like Make in India and the PLI scheme are accelerating the country’s rise as a global hub for innovation, design, and manufacturing.

Nothing has listed career opportunities at its Gurgaon based office for CMF with roles like Community Management Associate, Global Product Marketing Lead, Global Product Marketing Manager, Smartphones, Global Product Marketing Manager, Smart Products, Global Social Media Manager, Project Manager, Senior PR Manager and Social Media Content Producer.
Currently, CMF products are being manufactured by Padget Electronics in India.
